Title

Bhaktamar Stotra Shlok no.6

The poet fears that he will become a laughing stock among scholars as he has studied a few scriptures, is not well versed in them and he has little knowledge. Yet, his devotion forces him to express his feelings and worship Lord Aadinath.

It is certain that the inflorescence adorning beautiful mango trees is the sole reason for a cuckool to sing in her sweet voice, and to whisper or coo during the spring season. If not so, the poet wonders, why does she not sing in seasons other than spring? He affirms that just as the inflorescence of mango trees inspires a cuckoo to sing sweetly, in the same manner his devotion inspires him to sing hymns praising Lord Aadinath. 6.
